Focus on an EVAN artist: Dorothy Ramsay
By Sarah Hiscoke
This interview couldn’t be conducted in the usual way, due to lockdown and tier restrictions, so as a result, I feel I am just going to scratch the surface of this mixed media artist who views and depicts the world around her with incredible colour, energy and inspiration. This article will include comments from Dorothy and some of my own personal view of her work. Hopefully it will still give you a feeling of her pieces and inspirations and you can use the links at the end to see and learn more.

Window Wanderland Penrith and Eden
Window Wanderland is a national event, started in 2015 and the ‘Penrith and Eden Wanderland’ is now part of this. Penrith began this project at the beginning of December and the hope is that as interest grows, more homes, villages and towns will join in. The project is currently funded by Penrith Town Council, Eden Valley Artistic Network (through Eden District Council) and Penrith Chamber of Trade, whose President, Stephen Macaulay, contacted Simon Whalley (EVAN), when they realised that they were both hoping to make this happen within the whole of Eden.
